Socio-economic welfare programme to alleviate poverty and backwardness: Prime Minister

Islamabad, November 26, 2012 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that the government has embarked on a socio-economic welfare programme which would not only alleviate the poverty and backwardness from the country but also help upgrade the living standard of the people.

He was talking to the Member of the National Assembly Sardar Muhammad Mushtaq Khan who called on him at Prime Minister’s House here today.

The Prime Minister said that it was the first time in our history that an elected government was completing its term. The Prime Minister said that timely completion of development projects would usher in a new era of progress and prosperity in the country.

MNA Sardar Mushtaq apprised the Prime Minister of the ongoing development projects in his constituency.
