Turkish and Pakistani Military Leaders Commit to Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation

Rawalpindi, General Metin Gurak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, at Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi. The discussion focused on deepening bilateral military engagements and strategic ties.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the meeting covered the enhancement of the level and scope of military cooperation between the two countries. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to forging stronger strategic connections. General Gurak commended the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in their ongoing efforts against terrorism.

The visit began with a ceremonial ‘Guard of Honour’, presented by a tri-services contingent, welcoming the Turkish military leader to the Joint Staff Headquarters.
