UN Secretary General visited Darbar Sahib Kartarpur

Rawalpindi, February 19, 2020 (PPI-OT):United Nations Secretary General (UNSG) Antonio Guterres visited Darbar Sahib Kartarpur (DSK) on 18 Feb 2020. He was received by Minister of Religious Affairs, DG South Asia (MOFA), Chairman ETPB, DG Rangers Punjab, Civil Administration and Project Director of DSK project.

The UNSG visited Gurdwara Complex where he was briefed by the Project Director regarding construction of Corridor by Frontier Works Organization with state of the art facilities for visiting pilgrims and adherence to religious sentiments and rituals. He visited project area including Bhai Ajeeta Jee Bazar, Zero Point, Border Terminal and Gurdwara Complex by bus. He specially visited Sarover where he performed Sikh Religious ritual of Chola.

Before departure the Secretary General shared his sentiments while acknowledging unprecedented Pakistan Government initiative. While declaring Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Corridor as the best symbol of interfaith harmony, religious tolerance and world peace.
