Karachi, April 16, 2015 (PPI-OT): K-Electric (KE) has always focused on its Social Investment Program (SIP) through its Corporate Social Responsibility and the Power Utility has added another partner to which the company would be providing 100% free electricity to the FESF Schools and technical training centre specialized for the deaf niche of the society.
As per KE’s press statement an MoU was signed yesterday at the KE House between the FESF and KE where KE’s CEO Tayyab Tareen and FESF’s Director Daniel Marc were present. CEO-KE appreciated the efforts that FESF is rendering to serve this part of the society that was not being given proper focus. He also expressed interest for the top brass of KE in investing time and efforts with FESF with their skill set that can help FESF grow.
On this occasion Director FESF Daniel Marc said, “Family Educational Services Foundation (FESF) is an educational organization working in Pakistan since 1984. They invest in educational development and provide innovative training programs and services to enable recipients to gain competency and self-sufficiency, empowering them to reach their full potential. The Deaf Reach School currently has 219 students enrolled where they train deaf teens and adults”.
With this signing KE has now partnered with 13 Welfare Institutions to which the power utility is providing free or subsidized electricity.
