Workers are the backbone of country’s economy

Islamabad, June 02, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Minister for Overseas Pakistani and Human Resource Development Mr Sajid Hussain Turi chaired the “Performance Review Meeting of WWF” on 1st of June, 2023. Workers Welfare Fund officials attended the meeting. Mr. Turi emphasised on expediting the development projects currently in the pipeline spread all over Pakistan.

“Management of WWF to lay special focus on Workers Welfare activities especially with reference to scholarships, death and marriage grants besides creation of better facilities for workers facilitation in terms of their living and access to basic facilities of life,” he directed.

The Minister was of the view that the time was ripe Workers Welfare Fund emphasised on projecting the major accomplishments made for ease of workers by Workers Welfare Fund through better use of both electronic and print media. The Minister was of the view that performance review of Workers Welfare Fund developmental projects, education and other welfare would be a regular feature so that improvement in these areas could be made for better facilitation of the workers
