Islamabad, World Oceans Day was observed globally to emphasize the critical role of oceans and the urgent need to end overfishing, under the theme “Awaken New Depths.”

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the day serves as a reminder of the importance of oceans in supporting life on Earth and the challenges they face, including overfishing, which has significant ecological impacts.
