Ziarat: Local authorities, led by Deputy Commissioner Liaqat Ali Kakar, convened a high-level meeting to implement preemptive measures in anticipation of the monsoon season, aiming to mitigate potential risks and ensure public safety.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the session brought together key district officials including Assistant Commissioner Abdul Raziq, and representatives from various departments such as the Frontier Corps, agriculture, irrigation, and health. Deputy Commissioner Kakar instructed all departments to heighten their readiness, with specific directives for the Irrigation Department to inspect dams, the Health Department to ensure ambulances and emergency medicines are readily available, and for civil authorities to relocate at-risk households from flood-prone river areas. These measures are part of a coordinated effort to manage the anticipated challenges of the monsoon season effectively.
