Karachi, December 03, 2012 (PPI-OT): The annual prize distribution ceremony of DHA Tooba High School was held at PN Sabir Hall here today. Chairman Board of Secondary Education, Mr. Fasihuddin Khan was the chief guest of the function.

The students presented a fabulous talent show on the occasion. The theme of the programme was based on social and moral values of life. The presentation included skits, poems, a short English play and an exhilarating Urdu play.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Fasihuddin said that the real aim of education was to produce confident, self reliant and dynamic individuals who could face the onslaught of challenges in the world successfully. He termed confidence, intellect and dynamism as the basic ingredients of a sound personality.

He said that education is a powerful agent of change and an embodiment of transformation in life. He reiterated that a good educational background was essential for success in life. He emphasized the need for a sound and efficient education system that produced individuals who could positively contribute for the betterment of society.

Chairman BSEK said that he was happy that DHA gave utmost importance to education and was continuously making efforts for promotion of quality education at all levels. He also commended the talented performance of students and the efforts put up by the teachers to make the programme a success.

Earlier the Principal, Ms. Raheela Jamshed in her welcome address said that the main focus in the school was on intellectual and emotional development of students to make them responsible citizens of the society. She also highlighted the academic and extra curricular achievements of the students of the school.

At the end the Chief Guest awarded prizes to the students who excelled in various curricular and non-curricular activities and awarded certificates of merit to the teachers. Commodore (R) Talib Hussain, Director Education DHA was also present on the occasion.
