Quetta, Dr. Rababa Khan Bilidi, the Provincial Adviser for the Women Development Department in Balochistan, emphasized the necessity of enhancing investments in women’s education, healthcare, and overall well-being during discussions with the Evaji Alliance and other women’s delegations.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Dr. Bilidi highlighted the critical role of women’s active participation in politics, not only to strengthen democracy but also to advance gender-equitable policies. The discussions, which included Evaji Alliance Chairperson Sana Durrani and members Zara Khan and Shamila Ismail, addressed several key areas of women’s empowerment.
The adviser detailed ongoing strategies aimed at promoting gender equality, educational opportunities, economic independence, and health initiatives for women across the province. Dr. Bilidi also spoke about comprehensive measures being developed to combat violence against women, involving technical assistance and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of these policies.
The commitment to consulting all relevant parties to enrich these efforts was affirmed, pointing towards a structured approach to lifting the socio-economic status of women in Balochistan through a series of actionable policies and programs.
