Barrick Gold CEO Discusses Mining and Security with CM Bugti in Quetta

Quetta: Barrick Gold Corporation’s President and CEO, Mr. Mark Bristow, held discussions with Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, focusing on mining initiatives and the support projects underway in the province. The meeting underscored the province’s commitment to fostering foreign investment and ensuring the security of such projects.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the Chief Minister detailed a comprehensive security plan aimed at protecting foreign investments. This plan includes recruitment of additional levies force to safeguard the projects. Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed his confidence in providing effective security and highlighted the importance of public welfare projects, which he said would improve the standard of living for local residents.

Mr. Bristow thanked the Chief Minister for his ongoing support and acknowledged the mutual efforts between the provincial government and Barrick Gold Corporation in sustaining welfare measures for the community. The collaboration aims to continue enhancing the impact of mining projects on the regional economy and the well-being of its people.
