Budgam Seminar Highlights Interfaith Dialogue as Tool for Unity

Budgam, A daylong seminar focused on the importance of interfaith dialogue was held at the Howzeh Jamia Babul Ilem Oriental College of Learning in Budgam, Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. Organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, the event aimed to foster communal harmony and understanding across different religious groups.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the seminar was part of the commemoration of the 35th demise anniversary of Late Imam Khomeini (R.A) and featured speakers from diverse religious backgrounds. Senior APHC leader Agha Syed Hassan Al- Moosvi Al-Safvi, who is also the President of the Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian’s Interfaith Dialogue chapter, underscored the critical role of interfaith dialogue in combating fanaticism and nurturing a pluralistic society.

The event also included talks by Syed Shamas Rehman, Moulana Kurshid Ahmed Kanoon Gou, Narender Singh Khalsa, and Mir Shahid Saleem, who discussed various aspects of interfaith understanding. The participants and speakers praised Agha Syed Hassan Moosvi for his dedicated efforts in advancing interfaith dialogue and cooperation among communities.
