Commissioner Loralai Leads Meeting to Discuss Development and Infrastructure Issues in Loralai Division

Loralai, Commissioner Loralai Davidan Balach Aziz chaired a meeting with heads of various government departments to address ongoing development projects and infrastructure concerns in the division. The meeting brought together key stakeholders to discuss plans and progress in areas like local government, roads, and healthcare.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Director of Local Government Muhammad Naeem announced a new initiative to provide solar home systems to over 1,900 households in need. The initiative will include solar plates, batteries, fans, wires, and boards to help alleviate energy shortages for residents.

Superintending Engineer Roads Jahanzeb Khan reported that while none of the national highways in Loralai division were closed during recent rains, link roads such as Kangri to Musakhel suffered damage. He stated that work to repair these roads would start soon, with plans to construct protective walls where necessary.

Superintending Engineer Buildings Muhammad Zafar shared that the ICU in the Teaching Hospital Loralai is complete and the remaining work would be finished within a month, allowing for furniture and other equipment to be installed.

Commissioner Loralai Davidan Balach Aziz expressed concern over the dilapidated state of some roads and suggested that salaries be withheld or action taken against workers who are not fulfilling their responsibilities. He also noted the need for improved drainage and road maintenance, citing Bacha Khan Chowk and Civil Hospital Zangi Wall Road, where standing water was causing inconvenience to the public.

The Commissioner urged officials to be prepared for further possible rains and keep necessary machinery on standby to deal with any emergencies. Following the meeting, he inspected Bacha Khan Chowk and the Sports Complex Sher Jan Khadi to assess their conditions and discuss potential improvements.

The meeting underscored the commitment of local government officials to addressing key issues and ensuring development projects are completed efficiently to benefit the people of Loralai division.
