Islamabad: Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland has pledged robust support for young entrepreneurs in Pakistan, emphasizing their crucial role in the nation’s economic development.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during her speech at the Young Entrepreneurs Awards ceremony in Islamabad on Wednesday, Scotland praised the innovative spirit of Pakistani youth and the government’s efforts under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to provide them with necessary opportunities and resources. She highlighted the importance of technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship in securing a prosperous future for the country.

The event also saw Scotland and Rana Mashhood Ahmad, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, presenting awards to distinguished young entrepreneurs. Following the ceremony, Secretary-General Scotland spoke to students at the National University of Science and Technology in Islamabad, discussing the Commonwealth Youth Programme’s commitment to supporting talented young individuals and stressing the need for equal opportunities in every sector.
