Coordinated Efforts Reduce Forest Fires in Islamabad Region

Islamabad, The third meeting of the High Level Inter-Departmental Working Group chaired by IG Forest, Syed Ghulam Qadir Shah, showed promising results in combating forest fires in the region, with recent efforts significantly reducing incidents.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting highlighted successful coordination between various departments, including CDA, ICT police, and the Pak MET Department. The rapid response to a new fire incident at Siniari Dara demonstrated effective action, with the fire controlled within less than an hour. Continued vigilance was planned for the upcoming Eid vacations to prevent further incidents.
