Deputy Commissioner of Panjgur Killed in Tragic Khadkocha Incident

Panjgur: In a devastating event in Khadkocha, Deputy Commissioner Panjgur was killed and the Chairman of the District Council Panjgur among others were severely injured. The incident prompted immediate medical responses and heightened security measures at the local hospital.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, following the attack, the chief executive officer of the hospital, Dr. Saeed Ahmed Mirwani, declared a high alert. Ambulances were swiftly dispatched to the scene as additional medical staff, including an orthopedic surgeon and a general surgeon, were called in to assist. The injured were promptly treated in the emergency department and underwent surgery in the hospital’s operation theater.

Chairman of the District Council Panjgur, Abdul Malik Saleh Baloch, underwent a successful surgery and was later transferred to Quetta based on his family’s request. Unfortunately, despite immediate medical intervention and surgery, Deputy Commissioner Zakir Baloch succumbed to his injuries. Other casualties were also treated at the emergency facility and subsequently referred to Quetta for further care.

The response to the tragedy saw significant cooperation from various quarters including Deputy Commissioner Mastung Samiullah Agha, local security agencies, and political parties, all coordinating closely with hospital authorities to manage the crisis.
