Deputy Prime Minister Dar Represents Pakistan at D-8 Meeting in Istanbul

Istanbul, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has landed in Istanbul, Turkiye to participate in the Extraordinary Meeting of the D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers, focusing on pressing global conflicts.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, upon his arrival, Deputy Prime Minister Dar was welcomed by Mustafa Asim Alkan, Deputy Governor of Istanbul, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkiye, Yousaf Junaid. The meeting of the D-8 Foreign Ministers, which includes discussions on the current conflict in Gaza, aims to advocate for an urgent and unconditional ceasefire and address the broader implications of the war on the people of Gaza.

The session represents a critical platform for member countries to express solidarity and seek actionable solutions to international crises.
