Federal Government Conditionally Approves Sugar Exports Following Detailed Review

Islamabad, The Sugar Advisory Board, led by Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, has conditionally approved the export of 150,000 metric tons of sugar. The decision aims to balance local sugar availability with the potential benefits of tapping into global market opportunities.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting addressed sugar stock levels, market prices, and production costs, ensuring that local markets remain adequately supplied at stable prices. The agreement with the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association includes measures to maintain price stability and ensure prompt payments to farmers. Future decisions on sugar exports will hinge on continued market stability and sugar availability in Pakistan.
