Government Seeks Broad Consensus on Constitutional Reform in National Assembly

Islamabad: In today’s session of the National Assembly, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif emphasized the government’s commitment to securing a broad consensus on an upcoming constitutional package, which seeks to address systemic imbalances and revise the 19th Amendment.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, discussions over the past two days within media and political circles have focused on the package’s intention to reinforce parliamentary power without favoring any single party or individual.
