Health Sector Reforms Progress in Gwadar Under Local Leadership

Gwadar: Efforts to enhance healthcare services in Gwadar are showing positive outcomes, as led by Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman. A recent inspection by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Sir Buland Khan at the Basic Health Unit (BHU) Shado Band highlighted ongoing improvements and identified critical areas needing attention.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Government of Balochistan, during his visit, Sir Buland Khan assessed the performance of the health staff and the adequacy of the facilities at the BHU. The presence and diligence of the Lady Medical Officer and her team during the visit underscored a notable improvement in hospital operations.

However, issues such as insufficient medicine supplies and intermittent water availability were noted, prompting immediate directives to ensure consistent provision of these essential services. The visit, demonstrating the government’s commitment to health sector reform, not only uplifted the staff’s spirits but also reassured the community about the administration’s focus on enhancing basic healthcare provisions.
