IG Punjab Allocates Funds for Police Employees’ Medical Expenses

Lahore, In a continued effort to support the health and well-being of police personnel, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has sanctioned the release of an additional 12 lakh rupees for the medical expenses of police employees across various districts, including Lahore. This initiative underscores the commitment of the Punjab Police leadership to the health welfare of its employees.

According to Punjab Police, the beneficiaries of this financial assistance include retired traffic warden Shahbaz Ahmed, who received 05 lakh rupees for liver and kidney treatment, and Ghazi official Muhammad Rafeeq of Dera Ghazi Khan Police, who also received 05 lakh rupees for medical expenses. Additionally, Noreen Fayyaz, the widow of AIG Legal Muhammad Ilyas, was provided with 01 lakh rupees for kidney treatment, while constable Muhammad Ashfaq from Lahore police was granted 01 lakh rupees for treating various serious diseases.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has instructed the department to ensure the continuity of health welfare measures for police employees, emphasizing the importance of utilizing police income sources and welfare funds deductions to support staff facing medical challenges. This financial aid reflects a broader commitment to the welfare of police personnel, aiming to alleviate the burden of medical expenses and promote a healthier, more supported police force.
