New Federal Minister for Privatisation Assumes Office in Islamabad

Islamabad, Abdul Aleem Khan officially assumed his role as the Federal Minister for Privatisation today at the Privatisation Division, Islamabad. During his first day, he was briefed extensively on the operations of both the Division and the Privatisation Commission by the respective Federal Secretaries. Minister Khan articulated his dedication to advancing the privatization of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) that are incurring losses, in accordance with the Prime Minister’s directives.

According to Privatisation Commission, this initiative is a pivotal component of the government’s strategy to enhance efficiency and profitability within the public sector. The Minister’s commitment signals a proactive approach towards restructuring and potentially privatizing SOEs that have been a financial burden on the state’s resources.
