IMDC and FDE Collaborate to Enhance Educational and Health Standards in Islamabad

Islamabad, The Islamabad Medical and Dental College (IMDC) and the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, have partnered through a Letter of Understanding (LoU) to improve the quality of education in FDE-administered schools.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the agreement, signed by CEO of IMDC Yasir Khan Niazi and DG of FDE Tanwir Ahmed, focuses on enhancing educational standards by addressing infrastructure needs, providing training, and increasing digital learning opportunities. The LoU details initiatives such as providing clean drinking water, upgrading science labs and libraries, offering student scholarships, and conducting capacity-building programs for teachers, aimed particularly at primary schools.

The collaboration seeks to reduce the digital divide and make education more accessible to underprivileged students. The signing event was attended by notable figures including Dr. Khurshid Ahmad, Project Director at IMDC, and Mohiuddin Ahmad Wani, Secretary of Federal Education and Professional Training, among other officials.
