IMF Program Progresses Without Disruptions, Finance Ministry Reports

Islamabad: The Finance Ministry of Pakistan has affirmed that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program is advancing smoothly, devoid of disruptions or delays. The government remains determined to fulfill all program conditions and ensure its successful completion.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the government is committed to a thirty-seven month program, working closely with IMF staff. The Ministry addressed rumors about potential “hiccups” in the program, attributing them to subjective interpretations without credible evidence. Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb has consistently highlighted the government’s dedication to ongoing macroeconomic reforms.

In a briefing to the National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance, Minister Aurangzeb reiterated the importance of adhering to the IMF program for achieving long-term macroeconomic stability. The Finance Ministry emphasized its focus on maintaining economic stability and meeting all IMF obligations with diligence and transparency, aiming to establish a foundation for stronger, sustainable, and inclusive growth.
