Information Minister Tarar Dismisses PTI’s Criticisms of Election Commission

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has strongly refuted allegations made by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), labeling them as unfounded.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar responded to PTI’s criticisms via a post on the social media platform X. He highlighted PTI’s own shortcomings in conducting internal party elections and their failure to properly submit party tickets and declarations. Tarar accused PTI of projecting their internal issues onto the ECP, asserting that the party seems to view itself as the only entity beyond reproach, while casting aspersions on others including the ECP.
