Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi conducted a thorough review of the security measures in place for the central procession of the 9th Muharram in Islamabad, ensuring robust arrangements to maintain peace and order during this significant religious observance.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Naqvi met with the event’s organizers, who expressed their satisfaction with the security and other logistical arrangements. The minister took an aerial survey of the procession’s route, directing security personnel to remain vigilant until the event concluded. He emphasized the importance of strict adherence to the security plan, which includes deploying snipers on rooftops and banning drone flights over the procession and related gatherings. Additionally, Naqvi instructed local police and administrative officials to prepare contingency plans for inclement weather and enforce a strict code of conduct nationwide.
