Islamabad Police Chief Leads Comprehensive Reforms and Recruitment Initiatives

Islamabad, In a series of critical meetings, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has spearheaded a comprehensive initiative aimed at reforming police units, enhancing recruitment processes, and bolstering security measures across the capital city. The discussions involved senior police officials and focused on a range of issues from personnel shortages to technological advancements in crime prevention.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi chaired the Police Executive Board meeting where he reviewed proposals for reforms in police units and made key decisions to improve the effectiveness of the force. He also addressed the urgent need for additional personnel and outlined directives to ensure that future recruitment is conducted with the highest standards of merit and transparency.

During a separate session dedicated to the reorganization of Safe City Islamabad, IGP Rizvi assessed the progress of several projects, including the development of a women’s virtual police station, a women’s safety application, and enhanced data protection protocols. He emphasized the integration of more sophisticated surveillance technologies, such as increased camera coverage and artificial intelligence capabilities, to ensure comprehensive monitoring of the city.

Furthermore, the IGP held an orderly room at the Central Police Office where officers were encouraged to voice their personal and professional grievances. Immediate actions were taken to resolve urgent issues, reaffirming the IGP’s commitment to maintaining an open-door policy for all personnel.

IGP Rizvi reiterated the primary mission of the Islamabad Police to safeguard the lives and properties of citizens, committing to make Islamabad a crime-free city. He stressed the importance of completing welfare projects for the police force promptly and enhancing support for the families of police martyrs and veterans.

The series of meetings underscored the Islamabad Police’s ongoing efforts to innovate and foster a community-friendly approach, aiming to set a benchmark for policing standards across Pakistan.
