Islamabad to Host Pakistan Tourism Symposium and Expo to Bolster National Economy

Islamabad, A pivotal two-day event, the Pakistan Tourism Symposium and Expo, is scheduled to take place on May 27-28, focusing on enhancing the national economy through the development of the tourism sector. The event will be hosted by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation in collaboration with the World Bank Group.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the symposium will concentrate on the theme “Building National Economy Through Tourism.” It aims to highlight Pakistan’s vast tourism potential and foster government-to-government (G2G), business-to-business (B2B), and government-to-business (G2B) linkages among key stakeholders in the tourism industry.

The expo is expected to attract over 400 national and international tourism professionals, industry experts, and decision-makers. These participants will collaborate to devise a strategic roadmap for the sustainable growth of Pakistan’s tourism industry, which is seen as a critical avenue for economic enhancement.
