Japan Pledges Ongoing Support and Collaboration with Pakistan

Islamabad, In a significant diplomatic engagement, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Wada Mitsuhiro, met with Pakistan’s Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, committing to continued support and the pursuit of new collaborative ventures between the two nations. This assurance marks a continuation of the strong bilateral ties and mutual cooperation that have characterized the relationship between Japan and Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the meeting, Minister Asif expressed hope for Japan’s assistance in spurring economic activities within Pakistan, specifically targeting investment in the maritime and industrial manufacturing sectors. This is seen as a strategic move to bolster Pakistan’s economic infrastructure with the support of Japanese expertise and investment.

Furthermore, the Defence Minister lauded the efforts of the Japanese government in the regular organization of Pakistan-Japan Politico-Military and Military to Military Dialogues. These dialogues have been instrumental in deepening defense and strategic relations, serving as a testament to the mutual interest of both countries in enhancing their defense collaboration.

The reaffirmation of Japan’s support and the willingness to explore new areas of cooperation reflect the dynamic and evolving nature of the Pakistan-Japan partnership.
