Peshawar: During a visit to Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh, Jogian Shah, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa highlighted the urgent need for interfaith harmony, describing it as crucial for maintaining peace in the region.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Governor Kundi spoke passionately about the importance of minorities, particularly the Sikh community, as integral to the nation’s fabric. He condemned any targeting of the Sikh community in Peshawar, calling such actions terrible.
The visit was marked by a warm reception from Sikh community leaders, including Peshawar’s religious head Singh Sahib Sajan, Dr Sahib Ji, Baba Mahender Singh, Baba Ameer Singh, and Magan Singh. In a symbolic gesture of respect and solidarity, senior members of the Sikh community draped a shawl over the Governor.
