Minister Attaullah Tarar Advocates for Dialogue in Politics, Confirms Elections for 2029

Islamabad, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar emphasized that the upcoming general elections will be held in 2029 at the end of the current government’s constitutional tenure. He stressed the importance of dialogue and negotiations in resolving political issues.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar’s statements were in response to remarks made by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. The Minister highlighted the parliament as the ideal platform for political engagement under present conditions. He described Maulana as a seasoned politician and encouraged him to recognize the government’s efforts, which have reportedly improved the economic landscape, increased foreign exchange reserves, and boosted the stock market to unprecedented levels.

Tarar also credited the government for the rupee’s strengthening and the significant reduction of the trade deficit, outlining the positive impacts of these economic policies.
