Minister Shaza Fatima Outlines Government’s Strategy for Digital Pakistan at National Conference

Islamabad: Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima, affirmed the government’s dedication to realizing the Digital Pakistan vision during her speech at the first digital national conference hosted by the Global System for Mobile Communication Association.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Fatima detailed the comprehensive measures being implemented for digital transformation, following directives from the Prime Minister. She emphasized the government’s focus on digitizing the economy, governance, and society to eliminate the digital divide between urban and rural areas. Fatima also reported a record increase in IT exports over the last fiscal year, showcasing the significant progress in the IT sector.

Further, she underscored ongoing initiatives to enhance digital innovation and infrastructure development, which remain top priorities for the Special Information and Facilitation Center (SIFC).
