Murree Road Rehabilitation Nears Completion, Ahead of Schedule

Lahore, The Punjab government’s Communication and Works Department reports significant progress on the Murree Development Plan, achieving 85% completion in the repair and rehabilitation of twelve major roads within just one month.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Minister for Communication and Works Punjab, Mr. Sohaib Ahmad Bharth, confirmed that the remaining work is expected to finish ahead of the two-month deadline initially set. The rapid progress reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure to support the local population of over 150,000 and accommodate the 1.6 million tourists who visit Murree annually. The initiative is part of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s broader strategy to boost tourism and improve road infrastructure in the region.
