Islamabad, June 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ahsraf has directed the quarters concerned to take stern action against the elements involved in human trafficking and putting lives of innocent people at risk.
He issued the directives after the National Assembly’s attention was drawn towards the tragic incident of a boat capsizing in the Greek waters in which several people, including some Pakistanis, were killed.
The Speaker observed that human smuggling is a horrific act to dodge innocent people in the name of sending them abroad and leave in the lurch to face such a situation.
He asked the government to take immediate action against those involved in the human trafficking and give them exemplary punishment.
