National Assembly Leadership Mourns Death of Former Member Afzal Tarar

Islamabad, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has conveyed his condolences over the passing of former National Assembly member Afzal Tarar, who was also the father of current member Saira Afzal Tarar.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the Speaker released a condolence message to the family of Afzal Tarar, recognizing his significant political and social contributions. He described Tarar as a figure of wisdom and tolerance whose efforts for his constituency and the nation would not be forgotten. The loss, he noted, was a profound shock to the family, one that would be felt for a long time. He also offered prayers for Tarar’s elevated rank in the afterlife and for his family’s fortitude during this challenging period.

Deputy Speaker Syed Mir Ghulam Mustafa Shah also shared his grief, echoing the sentiments regarding Tarar’s lasting impact on the region and the country. He, too, prayed for strength for the grieving family and divine elevation for Tarar.
