NDMA Coordinates Return of Pakistani Zaireens from Iran Following Tragic Incident

Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), following directives from the Prime Minister, successfully coordinated the repatriation of Pakistani Zaireens who were injured or perished in Iran. A special C-130 aircraft, facilitated by the Pakistan Air Force and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, landed in Jacobabad shortly after midnight on August 24, carrying the remains and injured individuals back to Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, the aircraft transported 28 coffins and 16 injured persons, along with three staff members from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to Jacobabad. From there, the District Administration took charge, arranging for the coffins to be transported to the deceased’s respective hometowns. The NDMA has expressed its solidarity with the families of the victims and reaffirmed its commitment to effectively responding to emergency situations. This repatriation effort underscores the government’s responsiveness in the wake of international tragedies involving its citizens.
