NDMA Hosts Forum to Strengthen Monsoon Preparedness in Pakistan

Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) convened a critical session of the Pakistan Monsoon Proactive Preparedness and Humanitarian Response Coordination Forum at its headquarters, aimed at bolstering the country’s readiness for the upcoming monsoon season.

According to Press Information Department, chaired by NDMA’s Lt General HI(M) Inam Haider Malik, the session brought together representatives from UN agencies, humanitarian organizations, and development partners to coordinate effective responses to potential monsoon-related disasters.

The forum discussed anticipatory actions, capacity readiness, and the importance of building resilient infrastructure with indigenous materials in vulnerable areas. It also emphasized the need for a unified approach to disaster management to enhance the effectiveness of response efforts and mitigate the impact of potential disasters on vulnerable communities.
