Beijing: Pakistan and China have emphasized the need to expand cultural exchanges and deepen economic cooperation, signaling a commitment to a closer bilateral relationship. This was discussed during a meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Beijing on Thursday.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the leaders focused on the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) 2.0. Discussions centered around enhancing cooperation in renewable energy, science and technology, infrastructure, and agriculture sectors. The aim is to foster shared progress and prosperity between the two nations.
The meeting also explored ways to boost trade and economic ties through business-to-business and private sector linkages. President Zardari underscored the importance of the enduring “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” between China and Pakistan, a relationship nurtured over generations.
President Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, highlighting the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
