Pakistan and Kazakhstan Focus on Strengthening Regional Connectivity

Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with his Kazakh counterpart, Murat Abugaliuly Nurtleu, to discuss bilateral relations and regional connectivity initiatives.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting occurred on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers in Astana, where both sides reviewed their cooperative efforts and projects aimed at enhancing connectivity in the SCO region. They expressed commitment to regular institutional engagements to fully realize the potential of Pakistan-Kazakhstan ties and agreed to boost cooperation in trade, regional connectivity, and tourism.

Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Dar departed for a working visit to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, accompanied by Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev. In Bishkek, Dar plans to meet Pakistani nationals and address issues faced by Pakistani students in the Kyrgyz Republic.
