Pakistan and Tajikistan Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement in Dushanbe

Dushanbe: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan met with President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, culminating in the signing of a Strategic Partnership Agreement that promises to deepen bilateral relations across various sectors. The leaders convened at Qasr e Millat, where they discussed enhancing cooperation in areas such as trade, education, and defense, and addressed regional and international issues.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting began with an official welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister Sharif, complete with a guard of honor. The discussions focused on a comprehensive review of bilateral ties with an emphasis on expanding multifaceted cooperation. Both leaders also signed multiple Agreements/MoUs aimed at broadening engagements in aviation, education, sports, and tourism, among others. Additionally, the talks touched upon pressing international issues, including the situations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Gaza, with both leaders calling for increased international efforts to resolve these conflicts.
