Pakistan and UAE Commit to Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation and Tackling Climate Challenges

Islamabad, In a reaffirmation of strong bilateral ties, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have pledged to enhance their cooperation across various sectors. This commitment was voiced during a telephonic conversation between Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussion not only focused on strengthening ties but also addressed the recent weather challenges both nations have faced. Prime Minister Sharif commended the UAE’s leadership for their efficient handling of the repercussions from recent rains in the UAE. He praised President Sheikh Mohamed for his leadership qualities and dedication to the welfare of his people.

The call also covered the similar adversities Pakistan is facing due to heavy rains, which have resulted in significant loss of life. Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the need for collective efforts to combat the global challenge of climate change, suggesting an increase in collaborative initiatives between the two countries in this vital area.

President Sheikh Mohamed expressed his gratitude for the Prime Minister’s sentiments and echoed the sympathy for those affected by the rains and flooding in Pakistan, underscoring the mutual concern and support between the two nations during times of crisis.
