Pakistan Expedite Passports for Hajj Applicants in the UK

London, Pakistan’s diplomatic missions in the United Kingdom are implementing expedited procedures for Hajj applicants to obtain Machine-Readable Passports (MRPs). This move aims to streamline the process for those intending to perform the Islamic pilgrimage, underscoring the government’s commitment to supporting religious obligations.

According to Press Information Department, the initiative was directed by High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal, who ordered consulates across the UK to prioritize and speed up the National Status (NS) verification process, ensuring clearance within seven days. This directive is part of a broader effort to assist Hajj applicants, allowing them to secure MRPs without the need for appointments.

The decision reflects the Government of Pakistan’s intent to ensure that citizens fulfilling religious duties are provided with efficient and timely services, especially in facilitating their participation in Hajj.
