Pakistan Promotes Chinese Language to Strengthen Ties with China

Islamabad, In a statement released on the International Day of Chinese Language, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the significant efforts being made in Pakistan to promote the Chinese language as a bridge to strengthen cultural and economic relations with China.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the increasing importance of Chinese on the global stage, noting its status as one of the official languages recognized by the United Nations. He attributed the growing popularity of the Chinese language worldwide to China’s impressive economic development and cultural outreach.

The Prime Minister detailed initiatives at both public and private levels aimed at enhancing the proficiency of Chinese language and literature within Pakistan. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to deepen the ties between the two nations, furthered by the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has already played a pivotal role in boosting the bilateral relationship.

Sharif also pointed out the rapid increase in the number of Pakistani students and professionals learning Chinese, suggesting that this trend will contribute significantly to the ongoing strengthening of Pakistan-China relations.
