Pakistan Urges Afghan Authorities to Act Against Terror Groups

Islamabad: Pakistan has renewed its call for Afghan authorities to take decisive measures against terrorist organizations and their backers. At a weekly news briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized the necessity of addressing terrorism that affects the security of Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Foreign Office provided substantial proof pinpointing individuals and groups involved in terrorism within Pakistan’s borders. Baloch expressed an expectation for the Afghan government to disarm groups like the TTP and Gul Bahadar Group, and to extradite their leaders who have participated in terrorist activities to Pakistan.

The spokesperson confirmed that Afghan authorities are aware of the locations and activities of these terrorists. In response to inquiries, she reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to defending its territory against any terrorist threats and maintaining national security.

Baloch also commented on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that Pakistan will persist in supporting the Kashmiri people diplomatically and politically towards a resolution in line with UN Security Council Resolutions.
