Islamabad, In a meeting with Canadian High Commissioner Leslie Scanlon today, Pakistan’s Minister for Law and Justice, Azam Nazeer Tarar, emphasized the government’s dedication to protecting human rights and supporting minority policies.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions in Islamabad focused on the operations of the Human Rights Commission and the enhancement of minority rights within the country. Minister Tarar reiterated the government’s top priority of national development, stressing that both government and opposition play crucial roles in the democratic system and are committed to human rights.
Additionally, Tarar highlighted ongoing government efforts towards environmental sustainability, indicating a broad approach to policy that includes significant social issues. The meeting underscored a mutual interest in advancing human rights protections and sustainable development practices.
