PM Shehbaz Sharif Champions Workers’ Welfare at Lahore Luncheon

Lahore, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the critical role of worker welfare in Pakistan’s development during a luncheon in Lahore on Wednesday, held in honor of laborers and their families to mark International Labour Day. He called on businessmen and investors to prioritize the welfare of their workers in their policy-making.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif engaged personally with the families present and conveyed the government’s commitment to addressing their issues and enhancing their welfare and prosperity. He asserted that the nation’s progress hinges on the prosperity of its labor force.

During the event, Sharif reiterated the importance of collaboration between investors and workers under a fair system, and stressed the need for creating opportunities for the children of laborers to succeed in various professional fields, including medicine, engineering, and politics.
