PPI Original Text (PPI-OT) – Meezan Bank hosts an award ceremony for World of Betters global contest winner in Pakistan

Karachi, June 01, 2012 (PPI-OT): Meezan Bank – Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic commercial bank acknowledged Mr. Athar Ali Khan for his winning the World of Betters global contest by Western Union.

World of Betters (worldofbetters.com) is a global contest held by Western Union in which consumers were asked to submit ideas on how they would use USD $ 1,000 to benefit the world. Ideas by contenders were posted on the website with 100 ideas being selected as winners based on the quality of submission and number of votes.

Meezan Bank was selected by Western Union, the Bank’s business partner for real-time money transfer facility, to award the prize to the winner of the World of Better global contest in Pakistan.

Mr. Arshad Majeed, Group Head Operations – Meezan Bank, awarded Mr. Athar Ali Khan the prize money in an award ceremony held at Meezan House, Karachi. Mr. Athar Ali was congratulated for his winning the competition and his ideas were discussed with the team who appreciated his ideas to contribute towards the future betterment of society.
