President Zardari Orders Enhanced Security for Pakistani Students in Kyrgyzstan

Islamabad, Following concerns over recent violence in Kyrgyzstan, President Asif Ali Zardari has issued directives to the Pakistani embassy in Bishkek to ensure the safety and security of Pakistani students in the country. The move highlights the government’s commitment to safeguarding its citizens abroad, particularly students exposed to potential risks while pursuing their education.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the President’s Office contacted the Pakistani ambassador in Kyrgyzstan to emphasize the need for heightened protective measures for students. This directive comes amid reports of escalating tensions and violence in the region that have affected the Pakistani student community. The ambassador reassured the President’s Office that the security situation is improving and that the embassy is actively coordinating with the Kyrgyz government to secure a safe environment for students. Additionally, in response to the disruption caused by the violence, Kyrgyz universities will offer online classes to accommodate students who wish to return to Pakistan during this turbulent period.
