Prime Minister Sharif Aims to Revitalize Pakistan’s Economy Through UAE Partnerships

Abu Dhabi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif articulated a strong commitment to revitalizing Pakistan’s economy by enhancing collaborations with the United Arab Emirates, focusing on joint ventures and knowledge-sharing initiatives in key sectors.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the “Innovate Together: UAE-Pakistan Tech Collaborations” round-table session held today in Abu Dhabi, Prime Minister Sharif detailed his government’s strategy to integrate advanced technologies like artificial intelligence into Pakistan’s agriculture, mining, minerals, and industrial sectors to boost exports. He emphasized the importance of information technology in empowering the youth, who make up sixty percent of Pakistan’s population, through high-quality vocational training tailored to meet the UAE’s legal employment standards.

The session also marked the signing of three significant agreements between Pakistani and UAE companies, aimed at promoting the digitization of Pakistan’s economy and fostering bilateral economic growth. The companies involved included Labware Arabia and Maison Consulting, Info Tech Group and 800 Inc Holdings, and Minsait (INDRA) Spain with Info Tech Group.

Prime Minister Sharif also took the opportunity to recognize the enduring support of the UAE for Pakistan through various challenges, asserting that his current visit aimed to transform dependency into a mutually beneficial partnership. He also distributed awards to executives from prominent UAE companies with substantial investments in Pakistan, signaling a forward-looking approach to international economic relations.
