Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Champions Pakistan-China Strategic Partnership at Beijing Event

Beijing, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership during his keynote speech at the Pakistan-China Friendship and Business event. The event, co-organized by the Pakistan Embassy in China, highlighted the enduring bilateral relationship between the two nations, emphasizing strategic trust and cooperation.

According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif praised the historical and civilizational ties that have consistently bolstered the Pakistan-China relationship. He highlighted the importance of multilateralism and international law in maintaining global peace and security, and lauded China’s role in promoting dialogue and cooperation, especially with developing countries. The Prime Minister endorsed President Xi Jinping’s global initiatives aimed at fostering a shared future for mankind and emphasized the Belt and Road Initiative’s role in addressing global challenges.

The event also focused on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which Sharif described as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s economic reform agenda and a testament to successful bilateral cooperation. Looking forward, he encouraged Chinese investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan, particularly in mining, ICT, and agriculture, facilitated by the newly established Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
