Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Commends Pakistan Navy on Major Anti-Narcotics Operation

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has praised the Pakistan Navy for its successful operation against narcotics smuggling in the North Arabian Sea. The operation, carried out by PNS Yarmouk, successfully intercepted a significant drug haul, preventing 380 kilograms of narcotics worth thousands of dollars from being smuggled.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister lauded the efforts of the officers and personnel aboard PNS Yarmouk, emphasizing the pivotal role of the Pakistan Navy in protecting the nation’s maritime boundaries and curbing illegal activities at sea. The Navy’s continuous surveillance and regular maritime operations are crucial in fighting not only drug trafficking but also piracy and human trafficking.

This latest operation underscores the effectiveness and vigilance of the Pakistan Navy’s ongoing efforts to secure the maritime areas under its jurisdiction against various threats, including narcotics smuggling, which poses a significant challenge both regionally and globally.
